Dear Colleagues,

I am working as a college librarian for the last four years and i have recently applied for the award of a Faculty Improvement Program (FIP) sponsored by the UGC. The college authorities are enquiring about the elligibility of a librarian for such a fellowship which is meant for Teachers and there is ambiguity whether the librarians which are supposed to be treated at par with the college teachers and are employed in the same grade. I request that if anybody has relevant and authentic information about the same, the may sent it to me so that i can give it as reference in support of my case for availing such a fellowship
