The primary reason is the rapid advancement of information and communication technologies (ICT). The advancement of ICT has changed the way we produce, store, process, and analyze the data and information in achieving various goals. Information visualization has been considered as one of the prominent ways to analyze this voluminous data using certain techniques and generates several insights which help in better decision making. Though the beginning of visualization dates back to 16th century where geographic diagrams and maps were used for navigation, with the advent of ICT, it became common and attained new dimensions.
