My main concern is to first decide the type of resources which I get
confused with sciencedirect, whether it should be treated as a website or
database. There are some minor differences while cataloguing these
resources as per many documents available over the Internet like below.
https://www.nla.gov.au/librariesaustralia/sites/nla.gov.au.librariesaustrali...
https://staff.lib.ncsu.edu/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=34604176
https://olacinc.org/sites/capc_files/Streaming_Media_RDA.pdf
It's difficult to decide the type of resource first then finding suitable
tags in MARC/RDA for each entity like online streaming videos, videos ,
etc. Sometimes what is given is missing the tag number from ILMS, etc.
Probably these resources are generally not covered/taught under our LIS
syllabus but i am not sure.
Thanks.

Is there any specific provision available in MARC/RDA for such distinction between website and database. In terms of MARC tags, I could only find the 007 tag for the same. You can explore the details for 007 - Electronic Resource (R) at http://www.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/bd007c.html The RDA content type ( http://www.loc.gov/standards/valuelist/rdacontent.html) also do not provide any such differentiation.

Just trying to discover all above.
