             I would like to inform all library professionals those who want to get in Associateship in Information Science.

             NISCAIR invited the applications for Associateship in Information Science for the 2007-2009 batch which is equivalent to the Master's Degree in Library and Information Science.

            

            Last Date for submmission of completed application:  18.06.2007

Eligibility:

              A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in master's degree or  four -year plus degree like B.E., MBBS or Bachlors Degree plus B. Lib. Sc. plus one year relevant experiece after B. Lib. Sc.

 

              Twenty Fives candidates would be selected based on admission test 

             and interview.

 

Test centre: New Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore

 

Interview centre:  New Delhi

 

               Provision for scholarship to non sponsored meritorious students @ Rs. 2000/ per month for nine month exists.

 

                Prospects and application form can be obtained from Head, ETD from May 28, 2007 onwards by sending a self- addressed envelope (25 cm * 20 cm.size) affixing Rs. 25/ per postege stamp along with a DD for Rupees 200 drawn in favour or Director, NISCAIR, payable at New Delhi and aslo be collected on payment of cash.The form can also be downloded from the web site at http://www.niscair.res.in .
