I had the fortune of co-ordinating with Prof. N.B. Pangannaya, for the M.Lib. Sc., Distance Education Practical Training Programme for the Bangalore Centre. I met him many times during this programme held from 10th to 25th July, 2006. On 26th September, 2006 the entire day was spent with him in Bangalore at PES Institute of Technology. Never in my dream did I think he will become dear to God so soon. Myself and my colleagues at PESIT are extremely grieved at this demise and pray that his soul rest in peace. Let his untiring energy be passed on to some able selfless person to carry on the Karnataka State Open University Distance Education Programme.
