This move comes as the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved new technical courses for the University. These new courses involve getting new equipments, computers and other requisite devices. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the union ministry for human resources development (MHRD) has sanctioned 3,250 units of Aakash tablet PCs for the University.
