LISU ( Library and Information Unit ) of Loughborough University recently carried out a project "Scholarly Journals Prices - Selected Trends and Comparisons". This project was commissioned by Oxford Journals, a division of Oxford University Press studied general trends in academic journal prices for a range of publishers. In addition, a detailed analysis of trends in biomedical journal prices was undertaken. The project analysed price data on around 6,000 journals from 12 named scholarly publishers, taken over a 5-year period (2000 -2004, plus 1993 as a base year).The complete report is available at http://www.lboro.ac.uk/departments/dils/lisu/pages/publications/oup.html .
