He had a massive heart attack and passed away on afternoon 10th February, 2013. He was an eminent scholar in the field of Library Science and close associate of Prof. S.R. Ranganathan. I recall several intimate moments with him at different points of time. I feel very sad on the sudden demise of Prof M A Gopinath. May his soul rest in peace. Dr. J. K.
