Dear LIS forum members Technological developments have restructured all the age old practices and conventional working systems in every realm of human endeavor. Library science is no exception to these transformations. The disappearance of the conventional catalogue cards from the scenario is an example. I have my own doubts as to whether it is mandatory to maintain a written accession register in a library. Does AICTE or other bodies insist on written accession register in libraries? Now most of the software's are having an option to print stock register. Friends please open up.
