Dear Members,
Just thought to share the latest Publishing video that has just been posted on YouTube by the Royal Society, UK:
This video was made with input from DOAJ, COPE and Think Check Submit.
The Royal Society Publishing update:
With over 360 institutions worldwide signed up to a Royal Society Read & Publish agreement in 2023, thousands of researchers can publish open access articles in the Royal Society journals with
no fees at the point of acceptance. With this the number of open access articles increase rapidly as more authors fall under transformative agreements. By the end of 2022, the Royal Society published the highest proportion of open access articles yet at 61%.
The publisher launched a new scheme to reward peer reviewers with article processing charge discounts and they have extended content syndication partnership with ResearchGate with the addition of over 100,000 Royal Society journal articles to the platform.
There has been further increase in the number of institutions moving to Read & Publish in 2024 and to begin flipping their four main hybrid research journals to gold open access within the coming years, we are expecting the similar response from maximum number
of institutions in the coming years.
The Royal Society offers over 350 years of research across the whole of science, Transformative Agreements, Open Access Memberships, subscriptions and perpetual access to suit all institutions.
