INDIAN STATISTICAL INSTITUTE DOCUMENTATION RESEARCH AND TRAINING CENTRE 8th MILE MYSORE ROAD, BANGLORE-56005 DRTC COLLOQUIUM-4 (2007-2009) ON Impact of E-resources on Collection Development ABSTRACT There was a time when library resources consisted primarily of print-on-paper resources. It was easy to rely on book reviews and standard reference works as selection tools. The emergence of non-print materials such as audiovisual materials and e-resources has made the selection process more complex. With the advent of the Internet and library networks and consortia, the ability to simultaneously share virtual resources, cooperative collection development, through consortial arrangements has become possible. The colloquium will focus on growth of e-resources, their evaluation, and how the collection development has been affected by e-resources. FACETS SPEAKERS 1. Introduction Ajazur Rahman 2.
