I am the librarian of Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science,
Rajkot which is affiliated to Saurashtra University and presently
undergoing the accredition process for its courses.
We are about to start with the department of Management and Biotechnology
engineering.
As per the norms of AICTE we are supposed to subscribe to 30 Journals in
Management and approx 12 journals in Biotechnology engineering.
I had downloaded the list of journals subscribed by IIM A and also other
management institutes but unfortunately i was not given the entire details
of the cost of subscription. i had asked for the Title of the Journal/
Magazine and its cost of subscription. As many of them are buying these
journals under consortia. thus they do not want to disclose the price.
And in the field of Biotechnology it is very difficult to decide as there
are no much sources of information available for me. I tried searching on
the Net. But due to the time constraint I am not able to get a good list
which is economic as well as qualitative.
Thus if any body can provide me a list for these two fields I will be able
to do justice for the institute.
