[image: image.png] *Resource Centre Requirement of Library Trainees 2025-26* Dhirubhai Ambani University (Formerly DA-IICT), Gandhinagar, is looking for young, enthusiastic, dynamic and fresh Post-Graduate with a minimum First Class in Master in Library and Information Science from a recognized university to serve as Library Trainees for its Resource Centre (Library) for a duration of one year. Resource Centre at Dhirubhai Ambani University is a vital hub for academic excellence and is a State-of-the-Art Library providing seamless access to global research & knowledge through e-books, e-journals & databases. It is an integral part of the academic, research and outreach activities of the university. The Resource Centre, fully automated using KOHA, provides student centric services including Course Reserves, Short Loan, Information Literacy Sessions, among others. It provides access to a wide variety of digital collections catering to the needs of the Faculty, Staff and Students along with several initiatives to make it one of the leading libraries in the ICT area. It is a member of regional & national consortia and actively participates in resource-sharing activities. The Resource Centre is open till midnight on all working days during the semester and is also open on holidays, Saturdays and Sundays. *Nature of Traineeship:* Trainees will get to learn practical and operational aspects of all sections of the Resource Centre and get an opportunity to explore the modern library management techniques and web-based services. The selected candidates will have ample opportunities to learn about emerging IT tools and technologies adopted in the leading libraries. *Duration: *The traineeship is for one year only. The selected candidates will undergo practical training and need to work in shifts as well as on weekends on a rotation basis. They will get a fixed stipend of Rs.25,000/- per month and casual leave as per the institute’s leave policy. *Essential Qualification: *Masters in Library & Information Science (M.L.I.
