This seems to be a great way to take new knowledge to the public. What science writers and journalists are expected to do. Public (and academic) librarians can work together with like-minded academics and researchers in bringing new knowledge to the people. I know of many academics who write for the media, e.g. Prof. D Balasubramanian of L V Prasad Eye Institute, H'bad and Prof. Shiv Viswanathan of the Jindal Global University. Best.
