The process of scholarly communication by researchers and academicians is effective more than ever before and its reach is much faster through online and social media. The transition of information formats and transmission through online channels, the reach of science for wider academicians and beyond have enhanced the research impact to the next level. Simultaneously, it has also opened the plethora of opportunities to the metrics community to compute the impact with much wider indicators. To deliberate the ongoing and future trends in Scholarly Communication a national conference on ?Scholarly Communication and Scientometrics? is being organized between 27-28 September 2019 at Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), Kharghar, Navi Mumbai in association with the Institute of Scientometrics (IoS). The conference aims to empower young researchers on Scholarly Communication Models, New Trends in Publishing in Scholarly Journals, Publishing Ethics, eLearning, MOOCs, Digital Repositories, Research Evaluation Tools, Scholarly Impact, Big Data, Scientometrics, Role of Social Networks in Science, Altmetrics and many more. The two day national conference will have plenary talks, presentations, brainstorming sessions, deliberations, panel discussions by eminent speakers from across the disciplines of scholarly community and the domain of metrics.
