ACTREC library has unveiled its new library home page on 7th of August 2008. It is available at http://library.actrec.gov.in:8080. The Web Content Management System (CMS or Web CMS) is designed and developed by using open source code software - Joomla 1.5.3 by two young Engineers (BITS, Goa) Mr Abhimanyu and Mr Arjun as a small project. The WCMS is used to manage and control a large, dynamic collection of Web material (HTML documents and their associated images). It facilitates document control, editing, and timeline management. A WCMS typically requires an experienced coder to install and add features at the beginning. But when it is installed and hosted on a server a non technical person can administer the contents of entire modules with ease and comfort. "Chromatophore" template (http://www.rockettheme.com) has been used for the design, style and to have a professional look. Colour chooser on top of the site a special feature will give an option for the end user to change colour scheme of site.
