This is time for academic libraries to subscribe journals for next calendar year. Most of the libraries already received letters and mails from various publishers to subscribe their journals. But my suggestion to my fellow librarians is that don’t subscribe blindly on seeing titles of journals like “International Journal of ” ”Research Journal of” ,some fake publishers cheating with this kind of titles. Before subscribing a journals please check following factors. 1. Impact factor /ranking of journal 2. Whether Articles are Peer viewed or not 3. Institutional publisher or commercial publisher 4. Check the editor board their background 5.
