On behalf of the Dept. of Library and Information Science, University of Kalyani, West Bengal, I am very much delighted to congratulate Prof. V. G. Talawar, Professor, Department of Library and Information Science, University of Mysore, for his appointment as Vice Chancellor of the University of Mysore. It is a matter of great pride and honour that a Vice-Chancellor of a premier university has been selected for the first time in our country from the LIS community. We congratulate Prof Talwar for this achievement.
