Dear friends from LIS Community The lecture series on Informatics is a celebrating event by Informatics. We instituted this lecture series on the occasion of our decennial celebration and as part of our commitment to the field of Informatics. The lecture series was held in different places during different years. The 12th lecture in the series was held in New Delhi a few years ago. The 13th lecture on Informatics will be held on Wednesday, the 17th of this month. The lecture will be delivered by Mr. Cris Cromack from New Zealand, who is part of the original team that began development of Koha in 1999 and is totally committed to Koha since then. Chris is currently the Technical Head of Koha Team at Catalyst IT Ltd., New Zealand. This lecture series will be of special interest to LIS community, as the topic of the lecture will focus on the importance of FOSS (Free & Open Source Software) in the management of e-resource in libraries. It is scheduled from 6pm-7.30pm, to be followed by Dinner. I have great pleasure in inviting you to our 13th Lecture on Informatics.
