The Indian Academy of Sciences brings out a superb journal of science education: Resonance. This is one of the best kept secrets- or so it seems- of academic publishing. Every month, Resonance brings together an eclectic mix of articles in a range of topics, at a level that is accessible to students at the high school or college level.

An institutional subscription for the journal is Rs 400 a year, i.e. 12 issues. An individual subscription is only Rs 200.

While Resonance is widely subscribed, we think it deserves to be known better. Most schools in India do not get the journal, which is a great pity for teachers and students alike. Check out http://www.ias.ac.in/resonance/ to get an idea why...

Chances are that the high school or college you attended does not get Resonance. And at SwB, we thought we would make it easy for you to send a gift subscription to any institution of your choice for a year of Resonance.
