INFLIBNET ( IndCat. ) records crossed ten million bibliographic records

INFLIBNET has compiled and processed ten millions bibliographical records of books from more than 112 university libraries which can be accessed from the Centre web site. It contains 10697998 bibliographic records from participating members. Anyone can access these records from http://unicat.inflibnet.ac.in:8080/unicat/ and download matched records. It is free. The database is known as IndCat.

The Centre has developed new interface which has additional features of advanced search, search within the single library, and restrict the search to one particular state. The records can be downloaded and can easily merged in to SOUL software or any another software which adheres to MARC 21.

Library professional are requested to use this source to identify millions of books held at 112 major universities in India.
