CENTRAL LIBRARY JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY January 04, 2013 The Central Library, Jawaharlal Nehru University has a sizable collection of bound volumes of the newspapers. Due to the space constraints the Central Library, JNU is not in position to further maintain the collection and intends to donate these volumes of the newspapers to interested libraries/other organizations of the preferably Government organizations. However, in case of no proposal is received from government organizations, proposals of private organizations may be considered. The interested library has to provide an undertaking that: 1. The newspapers have to be put for use by scholars/ users without any charge. 2. Disposal of the newspapers will not be done without written permission of the Central Library, JNU. 3. The transportation, packaging and other related cost to be borne by the concerned library. 4. The library needs to provide details of future use of these volumes of newspapers. 5. Users of Central Library, JNU will have free and open access to these volumes. The competent authority has all rights to accept or reject any or all requests of donation without assigning any reason.
