Sir, We in India lack vision as well as commitment. We can spend crores of precious public fund on erecting nonsense statues but fund for knowledge related activities are scarce. Particularly pathetic is the condition of public libraries in north Indian cities and suburbs. Europe and USA will certainly enjoy leadership among nations of Asia & Africa because the leadership in those continents realize the significance of sharing knowledge by creating access to it in the open public domain.
