Dear Friends:

This refers to article request by Mr Arunachalam and fears expressed by Girija.
I suggest a way out. Just request for the article availability. The lending and the lendee libraries can contact each other for terms & conditions (free or paid), mode of delivery (courier/fax/email, format (digital/paper) of supply etc. Just One copy made available to the end-user (researcher) for his own personal study/research would be covered by 'fair use' may not attract adverse copyright/licensing problems. Dear moderator,

Sorry, I forgot to add that I am all for people asking for documents
(after exhausting usual sources only) on lis-forum.  I am only worried if
it is correct to ask for pdfs as it is a violation of copyright.  As
everyone knows, this is being done on a personal level in some cases but
in a public forum?  ...
