Dear All, This is to reminde you all about the KOHA workshop which is being planned by NCRA, Pune from 13th - 15th July 2009. The last date of registration is 30th June 2009. If you are planning to attend the workshop please register at the earliest. It is a good opportunity to learn installation of KOHA on Linux Operating System, understand features of software and learn how to import MARC records through Z3950 server directly into local KOHA server as well as adding and searching muli lingual documents in KOHA. The registration fees for the workshop is Rs. 3000/- which include training material, breakfast, tea and lunch with excellent lab facilities. For outstation candidates guest house facility is available in the NCRA campus. Each participant will get sufficient opportunity to work on KOHA. The following are the workshop faculties:-- 1. Dr. ARD Prasad, DRTC, Bangalore will cover MARC 21/UNIMARC 2. Shri. Vimal Kumar, Asian School of Business, Trivandrum, will cover demo of all modules of KOHA(acquisitions, serial control, cataloguing, circulation, setting system preferences etc.) 3. Shri. Koustubha Kale, Anant Corporation, Thane, will cover how to make KOHA convenient to add multilingual documents as well as bringing virtual key board support in KOHA OPAC to search books in other languages.
