Congrats Dr. K C Gangadhar on your doctoral degree.
As rightly pointed out, Dr. Gangadhar has been instrumental in bringing a
huge change in the profession, it is unfortunate to note that, there is no
recognition for his great contribution.
However, you are an inspiration for those who quietly and single-handedly
would want to contribute to the profession on LIS Dr. Gangadhar,
Congrats again Dr. Gangadhar, I wish you scale a greater heights in LIS
profession.

I’m happy to inform you that Sri K.C.Gangadhar who is working as Senior
Librarian in Nitte
Meenakshi Institute of Technology has been awarded Ph.D. by the
Rayalaseema University for his
research on the topic “Comparision of Open Access and Commercial Library
Automation Systems: A
Meta-analysis” under the guidance of Dr. M.Vasanthakumar, former
Sr.Librarian of
Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Bellur Cross,Nagamangala
Taluk, Mandya
Dist.Karnataka, who is presently working as Head - Technical Section, Imam
Abdulrahman
University (IAU), Dammam, Saudi Arabia. K.C.Gangadhar has several publications to his credit in reputed journals
and conference
proceedings. He is the one who cleared UGC-NET examination in 1993.He
fought against the
bureaucracy when KPSC called for Librarian post in First Grade Colleges
with qualification
MLISc with UGC-NET and one more Master Degree. Though MLISc is also a
Master degree, KPSC
fixed two Master Degree qualifications for the Librarian post. He fought
alone in Karnataka
Administrative Tribunal (KAT) without support from any Library
organizations, though judgment
came in his favour, KPSC not responded positively. Again he approached KAT
for ‘Contempt of
Court’ and got the order in his favour. But by that time state Govt.
stopped all appointments
due to financial crisis. I wish him success in his future endeavors. A.Nagaraja
