We, the Joint Library Committee (Bangalore Theological Library Association), are sadden by the demise of Prof. Neelameghan. I came into contact with him in 2007 and invited him as resource person for conducting a workshop on WINISIS for Bangalore Theological Libraries at Dharmaram Vidysketram. I never forget my experience with him. His humility and accessibility to people from all walks of life is something that we are appreciative of Prof. Neelameghan. May the Lord of comfort and peace be with the family members. LIS community lost a valued member. He was truly a scholar, teacher, mentor and friend to me. I had the special privilege to be with him when he started the UNESCO course on Information Management in the Phillipines and later a similar course in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In Ethiopia we were together in the troubled times of that country in 1990 when the dictator Mengistu was overthrown. He was staying in the heart of Addis Ababa which was under attack. I persuaded him to come and stay with me in my quarters which was away from the heart of the city. I can never forget his humility, scholarship and his insights. The library profession has lost a gem from its midst. I join the community in conveying my sincerest condolences to his family.
