But if one sees the library positional hierarchy there are different levels of jobs in libraries which requires different levels of competencies. For example, an attends job in a library does not require Master degree and only BLISc is sufficient for the post. And if at all a person with higher qualification is appointed on smaller positions it will create professional dissatisfaction in him and as soon as he a gets suitable position he will move. It will create an environment of instability at lower levels in library. We need people at lower level with lesser competency level. Hence, may be BLISc. one yr was a good option!!! That way the old system was good for handling the situation. I feel we should think thoroughly before going to 2 yr course masters program. Well I do agree with you about the level of questions asked in interviews.
