Hello Professionals,
I am a research (Doctorate level) student at Library and Information Sciences faculty of Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU, Nashik) under the guidance of Dr. D.N. Phadke of IIT Mumbai. I need your cooperation in my research project, entitled: Study of migration of Library Management Systems (LMS) in Western regional Indian libraries. This survey is designed to depict a regional picture of the library software / system migration in India .
A questionnaire, to seek data about the migration aspects of LMS pertaining to your library is enclosed herewith. The information sought from you will not only help me to investigate the problem in detail but the process will also help in identifying problems in migration of LMS and solving them with standardization and troubleshooting. I would like to assure you that the data will be used only for the academic purpose and will be treated as “Strictly Confidential”.
I need to know if any library other than the western region has migration experience which they are willing to share with the professionals. Similarly, Questionnarie for Vendors is preapred separately to understand the type of features of LMS and type of services provided by the vendors.
