We have lined up several webinars this week - bit.ly/utdcs-india has the
details with Indian time (meetup
https://www.meetup.com/utdcsor/events/calendar page shows everything in
US central time), yet very few Indian students have attended recently (even
though they are all home?) Few have even written to me asking whether I can
send the certificate for attending 1 hour webinar! I guess they value the
certificate lot more than what they learn in the webinar :-( I am afraid
that culture will take years to change....
In any case, we have several faculty scheduled to speak this week, starting
with Dr. Anurag Nagar at 8:30am speaking on Deep Learning with TensorFlow
https://www.meetup.com/utdcsor/events/270281880/ (less than 3 hours from
now!). Another professor Dr. Richard Min has committed to do weekly
webinars on Fridays at 8:30am (Web programming with XAMPP
https://www.meetup.com/utdcsor/events/rwbcsrybchbcc/ is the first one).
There are several more interesting topics listed below! I encourage you all
to join as many as you can.
