Dear LIS Professional Friends, We all have been under Lock down status due to Covid-19 Pandemic disease; we are almost done and need to travel a little more to come out with the deadly disease and stay home for a little while more. Due to this lock down status all the LIS Schools have been closed. The LIS Syllabus which was to be covered is incomplete. The students are stranded in their houses. Hence, in this direction LIS Academy desires to extend its assistance to the LIS education sector. We are planning to organize a series of Webinars for the benefit of the students and teachers of the LIS profession. LIS Academy will provide the paid Zoom platform which can accommodate up to 10,000 participants. We request the LIS Teachers / Students to suggest some of the important 2 or 3 topics in each of the common subject to be covered in the first phase of 10 webinars.I request that LIS professionals who have expertise in any of these areas can submit an abstract of the topic which they want to deliver a lecture on webinar to the students. The teachers/ professionals who deliver lectures on the Webinar will be given a Certificate of Appreciation and those who get highest marks in the participant’s feedback will be awarded as BEST TEACHER in the forthcoming LIS Academy Conference scheduled during 27-29 August 2020 at Central University of Hyderabad. All the students who are participating in the series of first phase of Webinars will be assigned an online test. The best performer of the test will be extended free registration and free accommodation in the LISACON-2020 conference and he/she will be felicitated during the conference. Those students who participate in all the webinars and pass in the online test will be extended 50% discount in the student registration Fees and free accommodation in the LISACON -2020 Conference. Hence, I request all theLIS professionals and teachers to join their hands in this noble cause to enlighten the young LIS Professionals.
