Dear professionals. Net/slet exemption for PhDs and MPhil holders... In this regards I would like to express some of my personal views and not in blaming any of our colleagues I dont know how the decision of UGC can be taken as fare by leaving all the net/slet cleared candidates behind all. As you all know after competiting with lakhs and lakh of candidate one get through the net/slet and that too with lots of attempts and hardship. But mere getting M.phil through DDE should not be considered equal to Net/slet or qualified. Now days M.Phil is just one more degree as like BLIS or MLIS. I think even PhD can be freed from net/slet because getting doctorate require full of hardship and constant work for long years but not M.Phil If the situation goes like this every candidate will easily finish M.phil after his master degree in their respective colleges and come out as a qualified lecturer or librarian, and one day it will lead to less demand, more supply situation Every where we can see only qualified M.Phil candidates standing in a long line for a single post of librarian in colleges or universities. And also think of the situation of a librarian in a Self financing college . Please think and its only my view hoping for your opinion and discussion to clear my doubts..
