A condolence meeting was held on 1st September 2009 at 10 am at the sixteenth refresher course in library and information science held at UGC-Academic Staff College, University of Mysore, Mysore in connection with the sad demise of the stalwart of library and information science Prof. P.N. Kaula. In the condolence meeting held Dr. P.V. Konnur, University Librarian, Bangalore University narrated his experiences with Prof. Kaula. Dr. N.S. Harinarayana of Department of Library and Information Science, University of Mysore, Mysore briefly presented the accomplishments of Prof. Kaula . Dr. M.K. Bhandi, University Librarian, Mangalore University; Dr. Gadagimath, University Librarian, Gulbarga University; Dr. Mallinath Kumbar, the Refresher Course Coordinator and Reader in the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Mysore, Mysore; Dr. M. Chandrashekara, Reader, Department of Library and Information Science; Dr. Venkatesh Kumar, Director, Academic Staff College; Dr. L. Nanjudaswamy, Lecturer, Academic Staff College; and the 39 participants of the 16th Refresher Course in Library and Information Science were present.
