Dear Colleagues, Once again the Library and Information profession has been shocked by hearing the sad news of sudden and ultimate demise of the great personality, Dr. Dakshaben Surati, the coordinator and the faculty of the Department of Library and Information Science at Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. She passed away on 04th September 2006 due to ill health. The SNDT University, Mumbai granted her the PhD degree in year 2000. She also produced number of articles in journals and books chapters. It is the great loss for the LIS profession that can not be filled anyway. Teachers Never Die hence Dr. Dakshaben Surati is always within us, though her physical body is not, We, the library personnel always have her path, which she shown in her life.
