Dear all

With reference to recent decision to withdrawal of  in service Ph.D. programme by JNU University and Kerala University which will affect the academic progress of inservice librarians. I would like to suggest that Library and Information Science should be introduced as one of the subjects at pre university  and undergraduate level along with other  subjects viz. physics , mathematics, biology, History, economics  etc. This will hugely  benefit library graduates and postgraduates; in academic excellence and job opportunities
