Introduction

 

Capability Maturity Model has become a globally accepted framework for software process improvements for almost all the Fortune 500 organisations looking for improving software development activities. The Workshop on Capability Maturity Model  is centred on the Capability Maturity Model (CMM^®). The model is intended to provide guidance for improving your organization's processes and your ability to manage the development, acquisition, and maintenance of software products and services. CMMI places proven practices into a structure that helps to assess the organisation maturity, process area capability, establish priorities for improvement, and guide the implementation of CMMI.

 

Objectives of the Course:

 

The objective of this course is to systematically introduce the participants to understand the concepts, principles and practices in improving Software Development Processes. The course would encourage the participants to discuss on the practical aspects of the organizational challenges in embarking and sustaining such process improvement initiatives and the mechanisms to address those challenges. The course will help participants to: -

Srinivas Thummalapalli is an SEI authorized Lead Instructor and Appraiser official appraisals basing on CMMI, PCMM models. He is trained at Harvard Business School on leading the Professional Services Firms and at Indian School of Business on Advanced management concepts.He has established and provided Thought Leadership to Software Process Improvement consulting practice at KPMG. He is an accomplished consulting professional with 20 years of experience in advising global IT firms on their corporate transformation initiatives. Currently he leads the Sumantrana Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd.
