I fully endorse the views expressed by Ms. Usha Mukund on Mr. Faisal. I
know him personally as well. He is a librarian par excellence. His
innovations with and without the technology are worth emulating. He has
been an unsung professional so far. He deserves more encouragement, support
and recognition. May his tribe increase in our profession.

Dear friends, It is a matter of great importance and significance that our colleague, Mr. S.L. Faisal has been recognised for his innovative and path-breaking work in the field of school libraries. This is an area which is not given much attention even by our own library professional group, I feel, so an award like this is an eye-opener to all that such good work is being done in the critical and all-important realm of school libraries. My personal congratulations to him and to the initiatives he is bringing in. All of us school librarians feel extremely proud of his well-deserved success.
