I think we all are (who were his students or any way associated with him) deeply saddened to hear this morning news that our beloved teacher Prof Gopinath is no more. I had known Prof. Gopinath since joing DRTC in 186-87 and later I did my Ph.D. jointly under him as one of the co-guides. Sir used to help us in many ways apart from teaching and learning. In fact spending time with sir was complete learning process in all sphere of life. My sincere condolences to the bereaved family.
