Dear All, *Confetti of Thoughts on Library and Information Studies- Released* The book titled “Confetti of Thoughts on Library and Information Studies: Essays in honour of Prof. (Dr.) C. V. Rajan Pillai” edited by Dr. S. Humayoon Kabir and Dr. K. G. Sudhier (Assistant Professors, DLIS, University of Kerala) was released at a function held at DLIS Hall, Kerala University Library, Thiruvananthapuram on 10 November 2010. Noted Malayalam Poet and educationist Dr. Puthusseri ramachandran released the book by handing over a copy to P. Unnikrishna Pillai, Ex. MLA and former Member, Syndicate, University of Kerala. Padmasree Dr. Vellayani Arjunan presided over the function. Dr. A. Gopikuttan, Head, DLIS, University of Kerala, P. Suprabha, State Librarian, Dr. K. P. Somanathan Nair, head, DLIS, M G University and K. P. Sadasivan, President, Kerala Library Association spoke on the Occasion. The editors of the book, Dr. S. Humayoon Kabir welcomed gathering and Dr. K. G. Sudhier introduced the book to the audience and proposed vote of thanks. Dr. C. V. Rajan Pillai who was present on the occasion, was honoured by his researchers and PhD holders. The function has well attended by library professionals,senior faculties and students. The Book, which is a collection of essays has been published as a token of honour to Dr. C. V. Rajan Pillai, who was University Librarian, CUSAT, Cochin and Head, DLIS, M G University, Kottayam. The book is divided into 11 sections comprising 44 Chapters in 550 pages. It features rich collections from over 60 luminaries across the country includes Prof. P. N. Kaula and forwarded by Prof. (Dr.) V. G. Talawar, Vice Chancellor, University of Mysore. It is published by Authors Press, New Delhi and is priced at Rs. 1200/- *Dr. K. G.
