Dear All:
Chemists will soon have their own preprints archive - similar to arXiv for
physics and allied fields (and BioRxiv for life sciences). Even so, I
believe institutional repositories - such as the ones at Raman Research
Institute and the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute - will be the
best option. Especially if they are mandated by funding agencies such as
DST, CSIR and DBT.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 10, 2016 â The American Chemical Society (ACS) today
announced its intention to form ChemRxiv, a chemistry preprint server
for the global chemistry community, proposed as a collaborative
undertaking that will facilitate the open dissemination of important
scientific findings. The Society is presently in the process of
inviting interested stakeholders to participate in helping to shape
the service ahead of its anticipated launch.
