The scientometric community has lost Henk Moed, the eminent scholar and a great researcher. His contributions to Scientometrics and bibliometric indicators are numerous. Henk has worked at the CWTS Leiden University, and later moved to Elsevier. After his retirement at Elsevier, he worked in Sapienza Univ Rome, Italy, until his death two days ago. He received De Solla Price Award in 1999 and has published hundreds of high-impact papers in almost all top journals in Scientometrics. He offered the keynote during the STMet 2020.
The STMet 2021 conference will pay homage to Henk, the eminent scholar in Scientometrics. Gali Halevi, The Director of The Institute for Scientific Information (Clarivate), will speak about Henk Moed and his contributions to Science Metrics during the opening ceremony on 6th December 2021.
