[LIS-Forum] Friends. Open-access publishing fees (better known as APC)deter researchers in the global south, shows recent research from Brazil. Please see the report in Nature:

https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-022-00342-w There is no reason why researchers in India's elite institutions should pay APC to publish their work and in the process and in the process transfer funds from Indian taxpayers to the coffers of already super rich (and greedy) publishers in Europe and the US.
