Readers and Researchers all over the world can now check the availability of books at Vartak College Library just at a click. Annasaheb Vartak College library which possesses more than 60 thousands books has recently made its library catalogue ‘online’. One can visit the ‘Online Catalogue(Webopac)’ page on the website *www.vartaklibrary.co.nr* of the library in order to find out the book, its availability status and other details. The library is also subscribing to the ‘N-LIST’ consortia of INFLIBNET, Ahmadabad where 2500 E-journals and 75 Thousand E-Books are made available for reading, downloading etc. Also, the library is developing a ‘online digital library’ which will be available soon to its users through which the user can get direct access via internet to Institutional Repository containing old exam question papers, published research papers, old issues of college magazine ‘Vartakite’ and other useful information resources. Further, under the NMEICT scheme of MHRD, Central Government, the Department of Computer Science, Library, Gymkhana and other depts. of the college will be connected by BSNL’s 20 VPN broadband and Wi-Fi Internet connections(512 kbps) and free access of Internet will be made available to students in support to their curricular activities. -- -- Thanks and Regards, Ajay M.
