Dear all The scientific database SCOPUS (http://www.scimagojr.com) has been bringing out a very important statistical annual report captioned SIR World Report highlighting the research performance of important academic and research institutions in the global, regional and national contexts based on certain significant parameters. However, a cursory glance through the Report on the subject of Life sciences for the year 2010 points to a very dismal ranking of the Indian Universities and research centers-whether government or otherwise.
