Is it the combination of the following activities 1 Accessing library catalogue online (WEBOPAC) 2 accessing online commercial databases through Internet 3 creation of databases of subject specific or document specific (PhD Thesis; Project Reports ; reprints ) 4 Communicating electronically among librarians and user population In addition to the above anything more is included in the concept of digital library ? . How far the concept developed from theoretical aspect to practicality ? I presume that digital libraries helps librarians to improve service efficiencies to their patrons. Can I request subscribers of these lists to list few advantages they gained in their service efficiency due to digitalisation to their library .( preferably own experience ).
