About the Speaker
Professor B. Ravindran heads the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI), the Wadhwani School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (WSAI), the Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (RBCDSAI) and the Centre
for Responsible AI (CeRAI) at IIT Madras. Currently, his research interests are centered on learning from and through interactions and span the areas of geometric deep learning and reinforcement learning.
About the Endowment & Lecture
The Sarada Ranganathan Endowment for Library Science was founded in 1961 by Padmashri Late Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, National Research Professor in Library Science and a renowned library and information scientist, to promote research in Library & Information Science.
The Endowment is pleased to honour a close associate of Dr. Ranganathan and a longtime trustee of the Endowment, Prof. S. Parthasarathy (1917-2021), by instituting a Memorial Lecture to commemorate his stellar contributions to the field of Library and Information
Science.
