The journal focuses on Information Infrastructures, Digital Library/Archive, Cloud Computing, Metadata and Retrieval, KM, Cultural heritage, etc. The journal Informatics Studies is in its ninth year of publication. Informatics Studies is bringing out a series of special issues on ‘Heritage Informatics’ and the first volume already published is accessible at: https://www.informaticsstudies.org/index.php/informatics/issue/view/58 We invite research papers or case studies for the second issue (9(4) October-December 2022) on Heritage Informatics. In Cultural Heritage Information Systems (CHIS) it will give stress to documentation, digitization tools and technologies, retrieval mechanisms, metadata and indexing, policy issues, standards and guidelines, semantic and ontological frameworks and the best practices and case studies. Any aspects of architecture and planning, built environment, heritage structures, artefacts, data management, interface design, human information interaction, ontologies, metadata, data models, linked open data, controlled vocabularies, semantic technologies, interoperability, classification, language processing, discovery tools, developing the information system, etc., in the digital cultural heritage context will also be of interest to the issue. Papers for publication in volume 9 (4) will be accepted up to 20th September 2022. Papers are to be uploaded to the journal site. A copy can be sent by e-mail as an MS Word file attachment.
