Blaise Cronin in his Editorial in the recent issue of JASIST informs about the demise of 'Annual Review of Information Science and Technology (ARIST)". He states, "........the regrettable demise, after 45 years of continuous publication, of the Annual Review of Information Science and Technology (ARIST)—the final volume will appear in October 2010. Having read ARIST for almost 30 years and edited it for the last 10, I am sad to see the serial come to an end, mindful though I am of the shifts in authors’ and readers’ behavior that led to the decision...."
