
Library Automation and Resource Sharing Network Project (see koha.ignouonline.ac.in) under NMEICT (National Mission on Education through ICT) is going to organize the second workshop (Koha 3.8.2 on Ubuntu platform including MARC 21 bibliographic format and Indic scripts based document management) under a workshop series during July 20-23, 2012, at Bose Institute, P 1/12, C. I. T. Road, Scheme - VIIM Kolkata - 700054, West Bengal, India (see http://bic.boseinst.ernet.in/seminar.html/). The workshop involves no registration fees for librarians of colleges affiliated to UGC/AICTE. It will provide participants Software DVD (an easy-to-install software suite containing Koha and other library related software like Greenstone, DSpace, Joomla, Open Harvester, Open Journal System, easy backup/restore of bibliographic data, and many more in Unicode-compliant Indic Scripts-enabled environment on Ubuntu LTS), Training manual, Working lunch and refreshments. No accommodation and TA/DA are admissible in the project workshop.
