Dear Sir,
Thanks, actually I just wish to say or ask now? Do you feel is there any
possibility of a copyright-related or e-resource agreement related problem
or the official problems to those who share the contents procured for their
own library but sharing without official procedure/permission?
Kindly guide us what the are precautions which one should take before
asking for such information or delivering such things in private/public?
With Regards,

Dear Professionals,
1.This is in response to Vinod Mishra's query whether the acknowledgement for the receipt of document against article requested should be private or public. Before posting my suggestion I gave a thought, but remained silent. Being private, one is not dumping additional mail on to Forum unnecessarily On the other hand being public all will come to know that there is no need for further attempt by others. So it is left to the discretion of ILL requester.
2. Another suggestion for those libraries having access to J-Gate +. It has incorporated union catalog of University and several other libraries in the country. A link is provided as “Find-in-a-Library for 55 million articles indexed in it. One can easily find out which are the Libraries likely having the journal issue required. More importantly a request can be placed to the library of our choice directly using the e-mail proforma built in without trying trace contact details of library concerned and also type article details.

Many of you send requests through Lis-forum or directly to your contact for full text of articles. Before sending the requests please do some home work.
1. Search Google scholar. You may find link to the full texts through Research Gate or Institutional Repositories or some Open Access Sources.
2. Provide DOI Number if available. Most of the articles published today do have DOI numbers. - Please visit the Website of the Journal, see the contents page and look for abstract. Usually one gets DOI Number here. - DOI number helps us to get full text of articles very easily without wasting much of our time. and there by many will volunteer to help you including me.
3. Provide full information if you dont get DOI Number. You may have to do do some home work for this.
4. Don't forget to acknowledge and thank those who sends the article.

Goudar
